I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
